Monday Mindspacing

Y’all kill me with the renaming of departments all the time. Just pick one and stick with it. There’s no need for you to rebrand everything by taking out or adding one word every 3 months.

I’ve only seen 1 ½ episodes of The Boondocks, and unlike every other Black person in the world, I wasn’t impressed. Sorry if that makes you want to pull my Black card.

Jameil’s film was AWESOME!!! The experience of seeing her film for the first time on a big screen was amazing. I’m so proud of her.

Jameil’s graduation, and everybody else’s graduation was ridiculously boring. I don’t want to sit through another graduation until my kid gets his diploma. My sister is getting her Masters this weekend. I hope to all that is holy that she decides not to walk.

I don’t know if you know this or not, but it is NOT a good idea to run across I 75 wearing dark clothing late at night to retrieve anything, even if it’s your bumper. I don’t know how it happened, but it’s not going to help you to have that if you are dead.

I’m not the most social person in the world, but when I was down in Florida for the last 5 days, I was trying. I was making an effort to not be a stick in the mud. I think I did a good job talking to all Jameil’s friends and family. The only exception was with Jameil’s father. I don’t think I even told her this, so my bad, but it was hard trying to come up with stuff to talk to him about. I sat next to him at breakfast and said like 4 words “Thanks for breakfast, sir.” LOL

YO!!! It was dumb hot in Florida this weekend. I’m talking about heat indexes of over 100… in May. I’m so glad I won’t have to go down there in July or August. The redeeming quality of the heat was that I got a little tan and I like the way it looks. It’s like my true dark skinned nature is coming through.

I did a good job of not thinking about work while I was gone. I don’t usually think about it when I’m not there, but I’ve been stressed over the last month. Actually, mad is probably a better word and I don’t get mad. I’ve been dreading coming to this place. It seems like every day is another battle that I have to fight on my, and the rest of my teammates behalf.

The weirdest thing about Facebook is that people I work with ask me about stuff I say in real life. They don’t say anything online, but will save up their questions and ask about it in real life. It’s strange to me. I don’t remember what I was talking about 5 days ago, you weirdo!

I need somewhere to hang out on Cinco De Mayo. Preferably somewhere where I can make it home without getting on the highway. Oh, and while on the subject, I need a designated driver who likes Mexican food, and won’t mind if I drink a pitcher of margaritas by myself.

I need to start blogging again. It’s just so easy to NOT blog.

I miss you as a blogger so get that together. I get to see another part of your personality when you're blogging (& learn things you don't tell me like you're scared of my dad... lol). The dept. renaming is the dumbest thing ever. I haven't been able to get into Boondocks mostly b/c I have no clue when it comes on & don't really care to find out.

I'm so glad you guys liked my film! It was very surreal to see it surrounded by family and friends.

I can't believe you didn't like sitting for 3 hours listening to names being read. How selfish of you. I CAN say I enjoyed picking at my classmates and learning to text during graduation! That was fun! I might walk next year just to torture you. What about i85? Safer?

You did a great job of being social! Congrats! I was very proud! And it made things a lot better for me. LOL @ your 4 words coming after 1.5 hrs together! too funny. Florida is not a nice place right now. feels like 91 at almost 7pm in May. really? that's how you're gonna do me?

i hate that your job is stressing you out.

why don't people know yet that's not cool? don't ask me offline about online things if we're not close like that!! mmmmm magaritas! cinco de mayo!!

We have a department like that at my job. I always have to triple check when I'm addressing things to them so that I don't use the old name.

I thought I was the only black person who didn't watch the Boondocks. All of my FB friends have been quoingn stuff from the show and I'm just like oh....okay.

That's cool that Jameil's film was great. I already knew it would be.

HAHAHAHA!! Funny you're short on words with only her dad. I've found that most guys I had around my Dad have been the same way, that awkward silence!

It was 90 here today, I'm not looking forward to this kind of heat.

I want to hang out on Cinco de Mayo too, I will mention it to my coworkers tomorrow, I have been wanting a great margarita this last week.

I'm afraid to ask why your bumper was across I-75 lol.. but I'm glad you made it safely back across!

I just watched Boondocks for the first time last night... I didn't know the word nigga could even be said on TV. I must be behind the times. But anywho, it wasn't all that.

My best friend graduates Saturday... is it bad that I'd rather go to work? Lol

I hate when people see stuff on FB and then ask me about it in person...my dad is notorious for that, my stepmom has me on FB but my daddy doesn't have one, so he'll stalk my page from her account then call me like "What's going on? What you talkin about on FB?" Lol

I've never seen Boondocks, so maybe my card is up for pulling as well.

I want to see her film!!!!

Yep, graduations are pretty dull happenings. Which is why I'm not attending mine this Saturday.

Not your true dark skinned nature?!?! LOL!

Okay, thought it was just me. People will walk up to me at work and say something fb related. I'm always like "how do you know that? What are you talking about?" I'mma need them to not pay such close attention to my posts.....

Yep, you do. Thanks in advance!

I don't think there are many who will claim that they like graduation ceremonies.

I haven't watched the Boondocks since the first season. I didn't even watch all episodes then.

It is easy not to blog, but yours is fun to read. Weekly posts are fine.

I didn't like the boondocks either, so I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have no idea what all the hype is about.

Yeay for Jameil's film. I can't wait till we are all fortunate enough to see it.

I refuse to go to anyones graduations other than my children's. My son's graduation was so ghetto fabulous last year I couldn't believe it.

Never seen an episode of the Boondocks...it's on cable right? Yeah, don't have that! LOL!

I'll save the Jameil comments for her blog.

My graduation was awesome because my speaker was loud and unusual! The name calling did take FOREVER though!

Have you been steady with spreading that resume around. Most of your comments about work are negative. You guys need to part ways soon.
