I Changed My Mind

I changed my mind… I want to go home. I had the opportunity to go home early without pay, and I turned it down. I thought I would rather have the money. Besides its Christmas Eve and there’ll be nothing to do. I can just sit here and surf the web all night. And it’ll be quiet. Everybody else is either working early, or leaving early. I’ll have the place to myself. No conversations, no singing, no playing bad music. I can sit here and do nothing. It’s not like I got plans tonight anyway….

Then I got here. And I want to leave. I can’t take 10 hours of sitting around with no facebook, nobody writing on their blogs today, and no work. I can only read about sports for so long before I get bored with that. Please somebody let me go home early. I know I’m about a week late, but I still want to go. Help a brother out!

Working on Christmas Eve blows! I was mad and hoping to get off early yesterday. Maybe Mr.Scrooge will have a heart and let you go before you're scheduled to leave!

I hope you get to go home early! You know I had 3 years of Christmas Eve/Christmas (I think usually both) work. AND only Christmas gets pay AND they gave dinner to night workers, oranges & pastries for overnight/am workers. SUCKTASTIC. we always got the shaft.

I worked today, 9-5. You know the library must be open for the public and they were there.

Aww, I bet you'll appreciate that money in a few weeks!

I liked working on holidays for the very reasons you mentioned! Well, that was back before fb and blogs but being a rx tech in a hospital was not boring! I actually miss it...

They finally let me out 3 hours early. I was mad excited, although it may have been the millions of candy canes I ate.
